I currently have only 4 tattoos, but my tattoos have a lot of meaning to them. The meanings of my tattoos are super obvious to the naked eye, which is what I like.
My first tattoo I got at 18, I got a very simple sun. I had wanted this tattoo for as long as I can remember. I got this tattoo because of my last name. My last name is Beausoleil, meaning beautiful sun in French.
I had planned on getting this tattoo with my childhood best friend, she was going to get a moon to match me.
We are no longer close, which goes to show why you should NEVER get matching tattoos with a friend, or a significant other. I personally think the only time it would be okay to get matching tattoos, is with a family member, because you are stuck with that person forever. This tattoo cost me $80. A tattoo this small should never cost that much, but, in a tattoo parlour that is the lowest they would charge me, that is how much it cost just to use a new needle, and new supplies. I would recommend getting multiple small tattoos all at once so that you get the most for your money, with that being said, don't just get a bunch of random tattoos for the heck of it.

My next tattoo I got was a little sketchy moment. My Aunt's friend came over and tattooed us all at the house. But my tattoo turned out. There are definetly some areas of

my tattoo that I would love to have been a little better, such as, the lines being straighter, and thinner. But the tattoo has so much meaning to me.
To me, this tattoo means strength. The strongest shape for a base is a triangle. I chose to put this tattoo on my forearm so that I am able to see it easily. When I look down at this tattoo I am reminded to be a strong base, for myself, for my family, etc.
This tattoo ended up only costing me $60, which I would assume is because he doesn't work for anyone so all of the proceeds go directly to him. He was also my aunts friend so he gave us a deal.

My next tattoo is my most meaningful, 1 of 2 of my favourites and probably the only tattoo you could possibly guess the meaning of. I got this and my 4th done at the same place, called Ink & Water in Toronto. Toronto is about 45minutes away from where I live but I knew that I wanted these tattoos in single needle, and that was the closest place to me that does single needle.
This tattoo is on my ribs just under my bra line. It is in my Dad's writing who passed away 9 months ago.

My last tattoo was at the same time as my rib one, this is two tulips on the back of my arm. This is my other favourite tattoo, I got this one for my brother and sister. Although I have 8 brothers and sisters, the two I got this tattoo for I am very close with, I basically raised them, so they are very important to me. Which is why I decided on flowers, because I have watched them grow and will continue to nurture them and allow them grow into someone beautiful. I had no idea what flowers to get, and I just really like tulips, and liked the inspiration picture. I almost changed the placement because I have a freckle right where the tattoo was suppose to go that I didn't know about, but the tattoo artist said that it would give character, which it does. And I love this tattoo so much.
Since I got these two tattoos together, the price was about $180, which is crazy for these two tiny tattoos, but the place is in the city, and part proceeds go to artists around the city, so I was expecting it to be about that. And I honestly love the tattoos, the artist, and the place so much, I would do it all over again.
